Brazilian Butt Lift
What is a Brazailian Butt Lift?
A Brazilian butt lift, also known as buttock enhancement, is a cosmetic procedure that transfers fat to improve the size, shape, and contours of the buttocks without the use of implants. Fat used for this procedure is often taken from the lower back, thighs, abdomen, or hips through liposuction, which is then injected into the buttocks. This surgery is perfect for you if you desire a more well-proportioned body, or simply want to enhance and contour the size and shape of your buttocks.
About a Brazilian Butt Lift
Your surgeon will perform a thorough physical evaluation, assess your medical history, and discuss your personal goals and what is realistic based on the amount of excess fat that can be used from other parts of the body. Your surgeon will remove excess fat from the thighs, abdomen, lower back, or other areas through liposuction. The fat removed from these areas is then prepared to be transferred into the buttocks through injections on specific points to achieve the round and full look you desire, improving the shape and contours of your buttocks.
Brazilian Butt Lift Recovery
Pain following the procedure is minimal and easily helped with prescribed medications. Your surgeon will give you a list of instructions to follow, the most important being that you are not allowed to sit or lie straight on your back for two weeks following the procedure. Sleeping must be done on either your stomach or side, and standing as much as possible is recommended. The only time you are allowed to sit is when you use the bathroom. In the two weeks following the procedure, your surgeon will give you a specially made seated pillow to place beneath the thighs in a modified seating position. You are able to resume normal sitting eight to ten weeks after the procedure. Most patients that undergo this procedure return to work two weeks after it is done, and feel good enough to resume part of their normal routines ten days after.
